The USA Sustainability Plan outlines specific initiatives and commitments with the objective of responding to the stakeholders expectations in the United States. Each plan includes action items related to:
The Plan was first published in 2013, upon approval of Repsol's Corporate Responsibility Committee. The committee is chaired by the Managing Director of the U.S. business unit and is made up of executive-level representatives from the different business and corporate units of Repsol in the United States.
The committee is designed to uphold our Corporate Responsibility Model, which ensures that stakeholder expectations are integrated into our business decisions.
We seek to understand society’s legitimate expectations of our company in such areas as corporate governance, human rights, labor practices and environmental impact. These stakeholder expectations play a critical role in our decision-making processes to help align our performance with society’s expectations for energy companies.
We assume this responsibility voluntarily, going beyond what is required by law.
Repsol publishes sustainability plans for each of its regions and industrial complexes every year. Each country-level plan aligns with the corporate sustainability plan generated by the head office in Madrid.
